DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?
No, I do not. I Have done a few over the years and although I LOVE everything about that beautiful first day with your forever person, I have found I am best suited for those intimate one on one stories we bring to life for your loved one.
WHAT IS A BOUDOIR SHOOT...REALLY??
Boudoir quite literally means Woman’s Bedroom. Although most people think its about being sexy, with lingerie or implied nudity (and yes, there is some of that), I focus on empowerment. Capturing your very own Sexuality, Mystique and Strength. I want to see your Confidence shine through. Most of my clients are over the age of 40. When we think “our lives are over” and our bodies just aren’t “made for that anymore”. My goal is to allow you to tell your story, we all have one, while maintaining your dignity and privacy above all else. As a client you are my top priority. If getting completely naked is NOT on your priority list, this is a NON- Issue for me. Being naked is not synonymous with the word boudoir.
WHERE DO WE SHOOT?
Your photos can be taken in Studio or in your home. Wherever you are more comfortable. Do you have another idea for a location…Let’s hear it! As an artist as well, I am game!
WHAT DO I WEAR TO A SESSION?
I suggest at least 3 outfits. Something you are most comfortable in, Something Daring and Something new. Can’t decide? Bring them all and I will help you. Bring props that speak to who you are. Do you Play Softball? Is your loved one a football fan, construction worker, etc. Yes, bring those HEELS!!! You won’t be walking around or dancing (unless you want to). Groom as you would for the beach. Shaving/waxing any areas that may not be covered.
DO CLIENTS BRING THEIR OWN OUTFITS OR DO YOU PROVIDE THEM?
At this time, I do not provide outfits. As my clients are all different and have very different views of what they feel powerful, confident and sexy in, it is best to come with your own. This is discussed in our First consultation. I provide a whole package for you to look over.
HOW DO YOU MAKE CLIENTS COMFORTABLE WITH THE EXPERIENCE?
All clients book a consult with me before our photo-shoot. I like to hear about your life, your likes, your dislikes and why you are choosing to do these photos. We all have a reason. Are they for a loved one or more importantly are they for YOU? We go over any questions that you may have! There are no questions that are off limits. I want you to feel as comfortable as possible and I want to make sure that I have all the information I need to give you the experience you are looking for. I also want you to get to know me and feel comfortable. There is always wine, champagne and light fare. Music playing and social chit chat during Hair and Make-Up. By the time we start shooting you will have forgotten any anxieties you had.
DO YOU DO HAIR AND MAKE UP?
I contract with some amazing hair and make up artists who will make sure you look THE WAY YOU WANT. There is a lot of time that goes into making sure this experience is exactly as you dreamed. We can freshen up your natural beauty or kick it into full Glam Mode.
WHAT ABOUT FLAWS AND PHOTOSHOP?
Although I may not see the flaws you point out as flaws, I want to be a clear about the things that make you uncomfortable or that you are worried about. Many of those items can me camouflaged using lighting, props, scarves, etc. Should we run into something that you simply cannot live with in your photos, I will do my best in removing them. I do however, like to remind my clients, that these photos are of YOU. If they are a gift for a loved one, wouldn’t it be odd to find you no longer have that cute birthmark?
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY SHOOT?
I hope that you will be so incredibly happy with your experience, that you will brag to your closest friends. Photos will be ready to be previewed within 14 days. We will set up a Purchase Appointment, where we go over the photos and decide what you would like to do with them. All orders take approximately 10 to 14 business days.
